CUPE BC 2023 ANNUAL CONVENTION:   is taking place April 26-29 in Victoria, BC.  The Convention Call was sent by email to all affiliated Locals, Local Presidents, and District Councils on December 9, 2022.  Please find attached the Convention Call and Letter, Resolutions Submission Form, and Accessibility Assistance Form. Additional accompanying documents can be viewed on the CUPE BC website.  To begin registering delegates for the 2023 CUPE BC Convention, please visit the WE Travel Convention registration site. If you did not receive a copy of the call or your credentials, please email events@cupe.bc.ca to ensure your information is updated in CUPE BC’s mailing lists.

CUPE BC RWC | Black History Month Poster Project | February 2023:    The CUPE BC Racialized Workers Committee is working on the 2023 Black History Month poster to educate members on the often forgotten and erased history of Black people and Black communities in Canada. These posters will be sent out electronically to all Locals. To receive printed copies for Local offices, please e-maildschmid@cupe.bc.ca with the subject line “Black History Month Poster Recipient List” and quantity required by Monday, January 9, 2023.

Lancaster House | National Pensions Conference | April 12-13:   is hosting a virtual National Pensions Conference from April 12-13.  For more information and / or to register, please visit their website.

BC Municipal Safety Association | Joint Occupational Health and Safety Training | January 19: is offering a virtual Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee Fundamentals course on January 19.  Participation in this one-day training program will fulfil the requirements under OHS Regulation 3.27.  For more information, please visit the BC Municipal Association website.

CCDI Webinar | Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fundamentals | January 19:    The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion is offering a free introductory webinar covering the basics of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. The event qualifies for continued professional development credit for current CCIP members. Click here to register.

Canadian Apprenticeship Forum | Supporting Women in Trades Conference | June 11-12:    The 2023 Supporting Women in Trades Conference will take place June 11-12 in Winnipeg, MB.
